Over at SmugMug they have a pretty good page explaining Configuring Network Solutions to use your custom hostname.
What's confusing is the Host Aliases: CNAME RECORDS dialog box.
I'm going to figure this out today, but to me it looks like I have to key in www in the Alias field and then my new URL in the Other Host field to get a CNAME record that includes the WWW.
Then I have to add a second recod with "@" in the Alias field and then my new URL in the Other Host field to get a CNAME record that does not include the WWW.
Is that how you do it over there?
I just looked at my notes from the last time I had to change the CNAME record, and back then I ended up switching the DNS and had BlogHarbor take care of it.
I think I'm all set. You've got to delete the A Name records before adding the CNAME records. Then you key in 'www' and '@' in the in the Alias field, skip over the drop down, and enter your URL in the Other Host field
